Summary: Luffy is human too. Law forgets that sometimes, between Luffy's penchant for pulling off god-defying feats every turn of the moon and bouncing around like personified sunshine the rest of the time. Harder to though, when he crawls out of bed in the middle of the night to drown his nightmares under the rain, or when he scratches at his chest scar like he wants to rip the fire right out of his skin that way, or when he says stuff like "it made Ace feel really bad, so I taught myself how to be quiet" and mean it.

Direct sequel to Breathe. Picks up literally right where it ended, except in Law's POV.

Summary: Kaidou dies like a storm on the seas - his body hits the ground with a thunderous crash, charred and broken and unmoving where it lands, and in the immediate aftermath, it feels like the whole country has been shocked into silence. The Wano natives stare like this is a moment they've never dared believe would come to pass, and nobody seems to know what to do next.

Nobody except one, and from several feet away, Kid watches as Trafalgar - bruised and bleeding and looking like a stiff wind would do him in at this point - heaves himself to his feet and staggers forward with a single-minded sort of focus, eyes never wavering from the sky where Straw Hat is still hovering, battered and beaten but unbroken, a newly crowned conqueror with the King of Beasts laid to waste at his feet.
