"I've been watching the way you handle all those Thai kicks," Matsumoto announced to Tanaka. "And I really think you're exaggerating about how bad they are."

Tanaka stared at him, nonplussed. "Please tell me you're only joking when you say things like that."

"No; I'm not joking, at all."

"How can you be so dismissive," Tanaka asked. "They really hurt! They hurt like you wouldn't believe."

"That's exactly my point," Matsumoto insistently responded. "I don't believe they hurt as much as you claim they do."

"If that's how you feel, then you can try it for yourself, sometime, and see!"
