Title: 'Everywhere'
Fandom: Original Fiction
Character/Pairing: Original
Rating: G
Summary: See if you can't crack that mind of yours open just a little bit.
Notes: Fic = Mine. Characters = Also Mine. Crossposted to
ficlets.
Here's a little secret that I'd like to let you in on: Ghosts are everywhere.
Now, now--don't take such an attitude! It isn't flattering to your intelligence, to mock the truth when someone tells it to you. See if you can't crack that mind of yours open just a little bit. You might at least pretend to be slightly receptive to what I have to say.
Are you playing along? Good.
Let me ask you a question. What spot of this beautiful Earth has not been touched by some stain of blood, some echo of trauma, at some far-off (or even nearby) point in the past?
The answer: None. None whatsoever.
Therefore, logic dictates that every patch of ground must to some extent be haunted. And ghosts take a dim view of disbelievers. They like to prove their own existence, when pressed too far.
But disbelieve, if that's your way. And may that skepticism shield you from their wrath.
